After looking at the setup, with a minor change that Jump would need to implement (change the description of the missile field to read "Missile hardpoint sizes" or somesuch) it wouldn't break anything to break down hardpoints by their sizes.
(Alternately, leave the existing hardpoint count, and add a new field just after it reading the text suggested above.) As for help from others, I was actually thinking of mentioning something regarding that, but not just about missile sizes. While I have flown all the ships at one point or another, outside of Oct ones I'm not especially up on the best use of other factions' ships. My thought process was along the line of having 1 or 2 factional representatives work to update loadouts as needed. I and maybe someone else who's primarily an Oct pilot keep up with Oct loadouts, primarily Quant pilots update Quant ships, and primarily Sol pilots handle Sol ships. (I used "primarily" thanks to second account issues.) Jump would probably be happier if I remained the sole person with access to the loadout admin section, though, making me the one that actually inputs the work of others (which would receive credit, of course). ![]() |

After discussion with Jump via IM (and after a nap, as I was on the edge of getting "keyboard face"
), for now the stats will remain as they currently exist.Short, non-detailed version is that the ship stats are pulled from JOSSH, which would require busting out new code to work around, requiring time (primarily his, since it's mostly a code issue) that we feel is best used elsewhere. |

Ok, I'm an idiot.
As I think I said earlier, I was using JGSC for running the numbers, instead of going into the game and writing stuff down. Turns out that JGSC's stats for the Defier shield aren't those of the in-game gear, specifically regarding energy draw, throwing off the surplus power readouts for ships with Defiers instead of Havens (mostly LFs/MFs, I think). That fix is for tomorrow, though. ![]() |
