The Intensity

Ahh the story of Innominate and the intensity.

Yea the story is basically true. I argued and presented a ton of numbers as to why the intensity sucked. I even presented a suggestion of a size 4 powerplant for it. An important part of that is misssed, which is that I was not the first, nor did I present ANY numbers in that direction.

I had one core argument, if you agree with me it's good, if you disagree it's bad, either way I see it as relatively fair. The argument was that a duel between a typhoon and an intensity *at a dead stop* should go to the intensity not the typhoon. The typhoon had speed and maneuverability and should have had to use it against the intensity. Thats all there was to it. I did in fact DID suggest a s4 powerplant on the intensity, once, and in one of the few threads that I presented no forumulas, math, or data to back it up. In short, the solution chosen was one I mentioned but had dismissed as being uh, retarded, for lack of a better word.

So the story of why I was banned. Some of you saw my script, most who saw it misinterpreted it. But for most double account users it was fairly reliable.
A lot of people who didn't understand it identified a lot of false positves, yet it also outed several huge spies and demonstrated a trend of spying now seen
in eve. Royofca being probably the finest example and an amazing precursor of what was seen in eve. Shortly after I was outed for blackmailing spies (Most of our funding came from anonymous anti-quant sources btw) I more or less gave up on the game. A few months later I posted the front end of my scripts to the game to deal with what they will, I'm still pretty surprised how poorly some of you took advantage it, even while trying to. The whole thing was based on
no more information than the "online users" list of jumpgate, and every piece of information I had acccess to I ended up releasing. I wasn't banned for releasing this information, I was banned for doing so after being asked not to.

So yes, I am a goon. And Karash, I'm sorry for participating in the wiping out of OEC, I did what little i could to try and avoid it. I'm sorry for the bul
lshit ND pulled on the itensity lagely because of my complaints. I never even hoped the intensity could pull the shit it did, I only wished for it o have a chance at low speed confrontations.

That said, most of you who were my enemies in jumpgate are still cool in my book. Even rix and I became friends in eve. Karash though, you used to be cool what happened? Is your resentment for picking the wrong side of a war that strong?

Face of Mankind Rebirth.

You have probably never heard of it. But its one of those mmo's that dont attract the WoW crowd. as JGC..
This game was shutt down a while ago.. Publishers left it, now the developer is remaking the game, will probably go into beta before spring.
The game is much more sandbox then JGC ever was.

Short public introduction:

Face of Mankind is a Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) Action RPG in a single persistent universe. You will control a single character in the science-fiction game world.
Eight factions make up the fabric of the society. Each faction can bring a different atmosphere to the game whether by war, control of a colony and its mines or undermining prices on the market. Factions are led by a leader who is elected by their members and who uses their abilities to take colonies, make deals with other factions to help control the market or hire out as mercenaries. Individual players are citizens of the Dominion, banded together in their factions they become a force to fear.

Ok so its sort of like FPS.. not like CS tho.. guns have much slower firing rate and you have much more health.

Oh and the game is completely player driven. Meaning that most gameplay content will be made by other players. You can even become faction leader, and lead your faction into whatever direction you want. so no bullshit NPC storyline characters deciding your fate. Combat is as in JGC most about skill and little with equip. no dice rolls.

So far with wine I've made windows apps to run well, like Photoshop and like that,, but games are another story. For example, on my system and with the latest wine engine starcraft runs slow and its a pain to use.

Tried to install another old game I like, Colin McRae 2.0, and it never got to the main menu. JG? Video out of range. Unreal Tournament did work however.

So, I knew I had to try the cedega software since its more game related than wine. The subscription is for 6 months for $25.50 and this allows me to download their game engines and test them with my games.

So far this is the rundown...

Starcraft - PERFECT.
EVE - small background issues, probably a vid card problem on my end.
JG - need d3dxof.dll
CMR 2.0 - PERFECT
Nascar SimRacing - Install done but can't get past the 3d setup.

I still have some testing to do.

Help is not as good as I thought I would get but it works. I guess the software runs so well for the many people that they dont pay attention to the IRC room.

It sounds like "super-infestations" have been created to alter the JGC "map." I have not had a chance to log on to see this, but it sounds to me like a pre-beta "shake-up." The interesting thing is that it sounds as if the infests have been placed in a way that forces people to fly though unreg to go faction-to-faction (how cool!).

It has caused a bit of a stir over on JOSSH -- thought I'd start some discussion here as well.

So as all my other computers broke down few month ago and the only one working was a 8 years old laptop which was rly slow, the battery didnt work for more then 5-10 min when fully charged, and the psu was broken off inside so I had to put like a lighter under the cable to make it connect.

I finally decided it was time to buy a new one. Since I also wanted a TV for my bedrom.. I cant fall to sleep without noise.. I bought me self a HP Touchsmart IQ512. It looks like a small TV, it has a remote, it also has only one cable, for power.. it isnt laptop but it isnt big like stationary.

Even tho I hate HP bcuz of my last laptop, I love this comp. here video:
