Saturday Conflux Activity

On March 31, there was sentient activity between the hours of 3 pm ekoo to 9 pm ekoo. The first attack was probably the longest and was an attack on Octavian Space. While a few pilots mounted a defense, many Solrain gathered at Cornea station to protect the Nuke facility under construction.

There was a second attack 2-3 hours later. Sentient activity was reported between Hyperial and Quantar Core, with a surprising amount of attention spent at Quantar Core. Again Solrain forces moved to proctect the new nuke facility, though so headed toward Quantar space to assist. The conflux apparently became aware of Solrain pilots en route, because they quickly fled the scene.

The third and final attack of the day took place at Amananth, and both Gyre and Inner Aman were infested. From these attacks it is perfectly clear that the Sentient Conflux are intelligent enough to fear Solrain's defenses.

There was also sent attacks on sunday and monday. Sunday came with no warning, sol cornea and oct core were both blockaded. No buildings were damaged, and the sents were gone before defenders were able to arrive on the scene and break through.

The sent attack on monday is described here.

TRINN maybe on a go slow;

A Pilot report

Saturday night saw another testing bout of sentient Conflux incursions into our territories, with attacks reported in both Hyperial and Quantar Core station sectors.

The inital sentient warning came from Hyperial but soon this spread and was successfully tracked by the pre-tuned beacon network all the way from GVB to Quantar Core (http://www.jumpgate.co.uk/jumpgate1.jpg).

And it was at Quantar Core where I caught up with the Sentients. The initial target located was a sentient C8 Kraken, armed with Ions and with a top speed in excess of 640v. After a brief but vicious fight I, (aided by the Mk 1 defence drone launched by Quantar's station officials, a well timed Morning star and some heavy hitting gunfire) destroyed sentient and received a 250k credit bounty as a reward.

It was only after the first sentient was destroyed that I noticed the second. A plasma firing c3 sentient squid which flew at me with speeds in excess of 500v. I launched a Rapier missile in its direction which honed in on its target with unerring grace. In an attempt to destroy the closing missile I witnessed the c3 envelope itself in a plasma field, but it triggered its self defence too early and the missile survived a few seconds longer and hit its target.

Shields dented, the Sentient was engaged again by my own weapons fire and another Rapier missile, backed up once again by the defence drone while it spat burning plasma in all directions. That Sentient, like the first died shortly after.

In the last dying seconds I believe the Sentient called for back-up from its kind and the sector was besieged with jellyfish and a lone Kraken drone. I destroyed the Kraken and with back-up newly arriving in the sector, I headed towards QC for repair/refuel and rearming.

I cannot say what the Sentients were doing in QC, my mindset was focused only on their destruction. Nor can I say what occurred in Hyperial but this does lend credence to Calatorius's suspicions of a major attack coming soon.

Be vigilant, flip beacons and prepare.

I hope it is Algore, you certainly add some spice to the game. And we could darn sure use an ace pilot like you during these sent attacks.
