When was the last time anyone in this game was involved in large-scale PvP? Gotta be a year or two...

I'm pretty curious about the ship changes. The old nado was a lovely ship.

I guess I'll have to resub or something :\

Al:

The intel tool works with the fist as someone already said, but it was said that was dependent on beacons and was not added that MT pilots doing Recon missions act as tuned mobile beacons to show what MTs are in their sector.

Note that F1 wont work just because your pilot is a mobile beacon :O

About the rest, Im quite surprised by your comments Al, in a good way. I also think that we need to give it some time to figure out new ways to attack and make the enemy pay. Be a negativist and all you'll realize is that u've already lost and you havent launched yet

I was in OEC, I understand whats to be outnumbered and not being able to run at all. I may have been a carebear for the most time of my Jumpgate life but that doesnt mean I have no clue what Im talking about. I know it can be done, and I'll be there.... to either kill or be killed.

I've been involved in regular large scale pvp constantly over the last few years. Large scale being more than 5v5, but not gankvgank.
You know what I'm getting at. I'm not trying to be offensive or demeaning, just making a point that some seem happier to ignore by putting their heads in the sand.
Why are people constantly irritated by new things? Maybe it's got something to do with those testing them being out of touch.

Regards
Al

I know what you meant, I was joking.

Mostly.

A little sad that 5v5 and up passes for "big fights" these days.

I worry about the bomber tweaks simply because ship balance was pretty decent before. But things can always be improved, even if that improvement is unlikely to occur.

Oh, by the way...the Raptor got an Alpaa which has been firmly established to more than make up for any shortge of guns.

By nerfing all the bombers guns at the same time that their flight stats were boosted so much, we tried to retain the overall fleet balance status quo by removing them from the combat equation which was the de facto standard since no one used bombers other than the Nado (which is why I'm so glad the Nado survived the nerf by moving to its de facto role of Quantar's only power gunship). Same line of thinking for the Dragon shield-/armor+ change...retain the status quo while trying to make things more logical as we move toward the sector contest patch (i.e. bombers bombing not gunning; fighters not using tow shields).

The only area we broke status quo was the shield rebalance...but even there we really reverted to the Ep2 status quo of Haven then tried to add intersting things around it. But that conversation is on JOSSH, so I won't get into it here too.
