I still play and its the reson i found this JR web site but here is my dillima
my system crashed and i lost all my progrrms can any one help me get aces high back on my PC ?

Im not sure if Ike's still there too. AH2 is a free download as far as I know/remember

After seing the movie "Flyboys" I almost felt the urge to come back, but as my x45 is still unusable... and my commitment is for Jumpgate.... I'll remain near the Hangars at Great Pillars.

Hey Elp, yes they still have the 8 player servers and nothing changed between versions that you would notice because the version you tried was AHII.

AHvI kinda locked HTC out from expanding certain aspect due to DirectX 8 limitations. Apparently Direct X 9 opened up alot of aspects for game designers to utilize and HTC updated/ optimized the games code to utilize what DirectX 9 offered.

You basicaly saw an update in graphics and some of the texture codes where optimized.

HHHEEEYYY Chemdog!!!!! nice to see ya dude. Yeah Tex and Poseiden are still around. They dont fly all that much anymore, but they both stop in on occasion on the Syn forums. I think real life has alot of their time at the moment. If ya get a chance stop over and say hello. I know a few folks would love to hear from ya.

Yeah man the site was rebuilt a few times since then and all acounts not active in a six month time period were dropped. If you have any problems getting set back up pm either here or there and I can see what I can do to help ya out.

I have both the first and the one I played with you guys and yes, the difference is noticeable. I just thought that there was a newer version available. For now, I cant get back because Im still committed to Jumpgate... and the other big reason is the stick, which is the same.

I liked much the idea of fighting the plane after being shot by the enemy so badly, but sticks dont last long that way... so Im not sure if I'll ever get back there. I miss the flying with 400 pilots online and the strafing runs over enemy fields that were already burning up, or ripping down enemy bombers (I once got 2).

One of the best features of AH2 IMO is the ability to get together on the same plane, hopefully one day we'll get that into Jumpgate.... hehehe (I can dream I guess).

I tried to load it up again and do a little practice flying offline. Except my joystick only worked once (and I crashed twice during takeoff) and then the next time I tried, it didn't register my joystick and I just sat on the runway.
