Humanity needs you!

As you can see here, a Sentient attack is pending either tonight or tomorrow night that will most likely target the ONLY nuke production facility in space (it's over half way constructed and I'm sure will be operational in short order) and/or they will target the Biomass extraction equipment facility in Hyperial.

These assets to humanity need to be defended. Traditional enemies of Solidarity will be given a free pass if they are enroute to combat the Sentients that threaten us all. We urge any pilots who can to assist in the defense of these important facilities.

Meh, maybe humanity doesn't need us as much as I thought.

Nothing happened tonight, but a couple of Hyp and Sol FMs while beacing and locating another 150 or so Alums for Cornea.

Of course that means tomorrow night is doubly important. I may be a little late.

Let's hope it's tomorrow before I go to work...like 8 or 9 pm EU time

Yes Humanity!!!!111one!

Really though, I believe this biped looks pretty human. The origin text from the timeline could easily be talking about settlers from Earth colonizing GVB, and the big boob-ed cartoons from the EU were pretty human looking.

Colonization of the first planet. Although there is no proof of this theory, the Quantar claim that this colony was settled by their early ancestors. Location and name are unknown. This planet might have been located near the Venure Belt and was lost during the Great Collapse or earlier. Today the Quantar call this “Nah’ Shatar”, meaning “dwelling of the ancients”.
Or maybe one of the 11 planets we see are really distant Earth.

If they are or aren't human, they certainly aren't speaking English. But we assume our vocabulary translates. So yes, Humanity!!!

Though I could be wrong of course, for to err is human.

Hi K.

Just a reminder to all pilots, as I understood it from the old CSD days, the sentients and T7 specifically can be destroyed permanently with a nuke-kill. This has never been done to my knowledge, so tonight may very well be your chance to be a hero and join the ranks of such distinguished pilots as Reece (first Sent biomass extractor) and DT (first T7 biomass extractor, I believe). Make history and defend humanity's anti-conflux assets in Solrain and Hyperial space.

While I gladly welcome -DT- to the sent biomass extractor club, if it was T7 biomass he acquired we need to talk, and soon....

Ah, I thought he meant it literally when he said to the T7, "I have your biomass." or some such. I stand corrected. Killing one dead would still be a coup.

I made a public report here but I'll past a copy below. Thanks for showing up, everyone.

Quote:
When I first launched for the evening (about 10ET), the attack had been in progress for about an hour (according to some reports) and lasted another hour or so. The attack was led by a Sent Plasma c8 Kraken and a Sent Ion c13 Nautaloid.

The c13 attempted to splash into Cornea a great many times, and (I believe) was successful a few times over the course of the 2+ hour siege. A great many drones were utilized during the attack. The majority of pilot pod rides were the result of c18 Stingray drones. A great many TRI pilots rallied to the cause, coming from all factions and a variety of squads.

At one point, the Sents were defeated soundly and so they diverted to Hyperial. Much of the combined TRI fleet followed only to be trapped behind a pair of infestations in Main Gate. The Sents returned to Cornea, and most if not all of the Solrain contingent of the fleet splashed with a /homeoff to take the quick pod ride back to Cornea to mount a defense.

Many pilots accidentally splashed Cornea while trying to down the c13. In one such instance, DT had burgled some biomass from the c13, but both he and Dr.McManus killed the c13 then allowed momentum to get the best of them.

Cornea's DefDroids were busy chasing down temp bounties all night. One of several temps that I took happened while FFing up behind the c13 and firing a nuke, but getting the kill with guns so that the nuke flew through the exploding c13 and hit the station causing splash damage to a launching pilot.

Buildings in both Cornea and Hyperial were scanned and showed no damage. Station stockpiles at Cornea seemed unaffected by the c13's suicide runs. But large stocks of missiles, FF, and various fighter gear were used in the effort. Emergency stocks were brought over from Sol Core, but they arrived after the fight was concluded.

I'm certain that this report is incomplete, and I invite anyone with additional info or corrections to please share it.
