In early 106AT, it was a dark time for Solrain. The Commonwealth had been languishing for months with very few true defenders remaining. Quantar and Octavius mostly ignored the faction entirely. Sentient Conflux met little internal resistance. Then, sparked by the discovery of a few Pre-Collapse citizens of the lost planet Solrain, and driven together for Greed and Glory, many diverse individuals coalesced into a single fighting force. Sporting a diversity of spirit and backgrounds, but ultimate unity of purpose and loyalty, we are SOLIDARITY FOR SOLRAIN!

Solidarity was founded by the Pre-Collapse brothers Drayvn, Dravyn, and Dravin (Pre-Collapse Solrains returned to space after 2 millenia), plus me--ZeroZ95 (the historian who helped re-discover them). It has since become populated with top quality modern Solrain pilots who support our great faction.

From an OOC standpoint...

Solidarity is a squad with several 2nd accounts (or "1st" accounts as is my case since ZeroZ95 was my first pilot by over a year), and we continue to grow through additions of both primary and secondary accounts. Obviously we do not shun 2nd accounts from joining. However, we have been very careful not to recruit heavily from existing Quant/Oct pvpers. If we absorb all the Quants/Octs, there won't be anyone for us to fight and the reason for our existance will be invalidated (i.e. shifting current Jumpgate pvp away from the old 2 sided war fought over the same 4 sectors surrounding Stith...call it Stith++ as well as revival of US prime time pvp). That said, we have recruited heavily from veteran players who had either gone inactive or who were about to go inactive.

So, if you are a current Quant/Oct pvper, we would like you to stay where you are and log in and fight us. We've been having a lot of fun, honorable fighting outside of Stith++ the past year+. And it's been very good stuff. We're good pilots, but not always an ultra well coordinated fighting unit as we often try to use a mixed fleet rather than all MF/LF, so you'll probably get a few easy kills to boot.

If you think you want to sneak a 2nd account into Solidarity to spy on us, I can tell you it will be pointless. All our cards are on the table right now and have been since the beginning. We honestly have nothing interesting to spy on other than who is flying who, which will mostly come out anyway due to TS voices and the fact that we have members who've flown with just about everyone since Jumpgate beta. The only thing possibly spy-worthy would be fleet locations, so anyone who's "mic is broke" may be moved to another TS booth if we're in heavy combat (though finding/engaging the enemy is more or less the point anyway).

We treat people's different accounts differently and ask that people do the same for us. When we've money shifted to Solidarity accounts, it's been either loans which we will have to pay back with interest, or it was our money to begin with that had been out on loan. Not that money has any real meaning anyway...we can make 4-5m per hour per pilot while fluxing which is plenty to support pvping.

We're doing what we think Jumpgate needed in early 2006 and STILL NEEDS right now, making a strong Solrain to provide a 3rd front and room to maneuver between fleet homes during both EU and US prime time. Remember that revealing 2nd accounts is one of the things that the GM staff actually does take very seriously. In the squad, we'll use our Solidarity names only and ask squadmates not to expose each other. Also, we ask that you check online pilot numbers and use common sense when considering which pilot to log into.
