Hey Scorch,

Would it be possible to list Joystick Required on the beta sign up page and the ND/jossh sight as a place to discuss all things Jumpgate Evolution? You could simply list it as a fan sight not moderated by you. A lot of the pre-beta games I've seen have forums to up the hype and I believe you guys don't want to deal with managing forums so what do you say?

I know Jump has kept this thing going a long time through the dark times. It's rumored that at one point he lived in the basement of an abandon building with nothing but a server and a single light bulb hanging down from the concrete ceiling, rocking back and forth and clapping his hands wildly whenever the site had a hit.....lets throw him a bone already!

Best darn post all day! You forgot the bit about boxer shorts being my only clothing left and sub zero temperatures but that's ok.

EVE did that and they seem to be doing good. I have found many sites that are wondering if there's a fan site. One in which I tried to post for them but the mods wouldn't approve the post. They must be scared. But anyway, there are people out there that are interested and want more. Lose them now and you may lose them forever. Here is that thread I am referring to. There is lot's of Jumpgate Evolution noise on the internet right now. We've surpassed a million cached pages in the Google database referring to Jumpgate Evolution as of this writing. And all these pages are pointing to a single page that offers no info. Not a good idea in an age where Google runs the internet.

I wonder if planets will continually move away from us like the current game, or will it be possible to get caught in its gravity and burn up in the atmosphere... would make for some interesting high alt PvP engagements..

I'm really surprized that there are not more supportive posts promoting this idea. Granted JSR is not all Jumpgate all the time, but as a fansite of Jumpgate it is one of the best, and actually the only site that I visit for my Jumpgate information, as well as community conversation on the forums.

There is plenty of room right under "Beta sign up" on the main Jossh page for a few links to fansites, which would help point those that have never heard of jumpgate to this and other sites. It's great that Jumpgate Evolution is all over the net, with articles on many different sites, but if potential new players don't know where to go to find more information, or read about Jumpgate Classic so they can get in and learn some about how space in this game works, I'm afraid we might loose to many of them in the wait for our new addiction to launch.

Would be a pretty good move on their part to let folks come and get some information, even if it is just speculation. It would definately help with the buzz.
