I want hollywood sound!!

I want Hollywood sound. I want to tax my 5.1 setup to the limit. When my ship gets hit I want to hear parts falling off of it. I want flux to banshee scream as they go by. I want an awesome doppler effect of ships passing by me. I want each engine to have its own sound profile. I want earthshattering explosions. I want that whoosh of missles being fired like the movies. I want EAX. I want truely immersive sound, dont go cheap on this department. Weve all been talking about the graphics and gameplay, but I want incredible sound as well. Maybe you can keep the "Welcome Pilot" for nastalgia reasons, but everything else I want to rock and rock hard!

Ah hell, basically I want my ship to sound like the millinium falcon.

I'm surprised this doesn't receive more replies. I certainly wouldn't mind having decent sound effects, very important for immersion I think.

Yeah, sound is good. New and improved graphics with lackluster sound effects could be disasterous.

I always liked Jumpgate's unique sounds though... and their penchant for punny (the lowest form) humor. As long as the sounds are unique, interesting, and high-quality, keep up the good work.

Having been on a certain squad's teamspeak channel for a few years, I am practically deaf in both ears for the language. As such, I have no comments on the sound issue.

Oh please, SOL Navy TS is not that bad, especially since we got all those women that joined. It depressing that I feel like I have to watch my language around them.

Course we need good sound. But I dont think there is much cause for worry, because for its age I think Jumpgate had great sound.

I still wake up sweating when I dream abouts sents entering the sector and the whale type noises that accompanied them.
(Well, no I dont. But if I did dream about that I would. errr)
