Jumpgate Evolution shard naming idea!

I dont think it has any significance that the playerbase gets to pick the server's names, this is (to me) the most stupid thing to do, as they will pick the names they want.

But, if I were to pick a name... well I would go with a name that has always intrigued me... Lithium, this would be for PvP of course, as GBS always asked for Lithium.

For the carebear paradise... Helium. Because the thought of a PvE server is so weird like inhaling helium and hearing the effects it has on your voice (or was it another gas?).

I still cant believe people would play on a 'safe' server.

Anyhow my votes would be "Hard" for the tagless server...and "Easy" for the tag server.

how about hg/civ at least. tagless would be a wee too harsh if no penalties involved.

No, going HG/civ means we're going back. Nobody has said that the whole space will be treated as unreg, there will be penalties of course, just not that safe zone thing that gives inmunity to players.

As a hauler/miner means I can get shot if Im not protected, I may be lucky and not be hit at all, or may be that my rep talks of me and enemies dont bother attacking me... but there's no software mechanics voiding an attack on me.

I want to check one thing. It seems to me that when people mention safe zones they assume it means that non-pvpers will be invulnerable, at least to other players. I do not recall seeing a quote that said, "We will have safe zones, where non-pvpers will be invulnerable to PvPers" even mentioned in the discussions about the PvE servers. Maybe I'm just not as good at reading stuff out of the little blurbs we get, but the vibe I've gotten has been that the safe zones will have ai patrols that protect civs. Sure, if you kill someone 'deserving' in that scenario, you'll probably end up getting a pod ride home yourself, but, you'll still be able to get who you were after if you catch them alone and when the patrols aren't right there. But, who knows, maybe I need to get more pessimistic about the whole thing

I want something cool for hardcore server.. and something like "play here if you are a big wuss or pansy" for safe zone server.. Most egos would not dare to play on "pansyServer"

The safe zone server can be called any other thing you want, i don't really give a rats ass.
