Sounds like a good idea, but I'd do it as "optional". Think of it as setting the amount of information your "identification friend or foe" beckon is transmitting.

How about as a background color? Green for <10 Yellow for <50 and Red for >50. Then add the civ rip medalian/signage(?) as a black trim around it. Then perhaps a toggle for actual data information? Don't want TOO much info on my radar target, at least initially anyway.

Have to ask why oh why oh why, but then if it where optional might be ok then I wouldn’t have to have it on = more clutter on my hud.
I for one couldn’t give a rats left, how many kills a player has or money or flux kills or missile hits or days at the laundrette watching their smalls going around on the spin cycle. But really worth the Devs time I think not. |

I guess the point is to misslead less experienced pilots.
My kill ratio is around 40% .. And on EU it was around 10%, after a while it got higher.. But even when I had 10% kill ratio, I still managed to kill 150% killratio pilots.. It doesn't mean much other that it is nice to have.. But with a good squad, behind you, you can easily get 150-200% killratio... Only thing this would cause imo, is to create an illusion to less exp pilots that others are much better so they wont be attacking those people. |

Or for people that want to fight weak stats and runaway from anyone "hard", and be able to evaluate that in seconds.
I see totally negative gameplay attitudes in this great suggestion. *shrug* |

I see no reason to clutter up the screen with meaningless data.
I do like the idea of being able to access your "onboard computer", however, to call up JOSSH data such as pilot stats. Of course if Jumpgate Evolution is windowed, that will be less of an issue. |

Pretty much every modern MMO has a windowed mode, dont see why Jumpgate Evolution wouldnt.

I believe Scorch already said somewhere that it is already windowed and that's in fact how they are running the tests. With wide screen monitors it is much fun to play windowed games and still monitor the real world.

the point of the suggestion was an attempt to display more meaningful information on the bare-bones HUD. In this case, a way to guage peoples experience in PvP. I suppose it's not all that vital, and you guys brought up some good points about people using it to judge who the 'easy marks' are. Also, kill stats and kill ratios are very misleading sometimes. I know some very deadly pilots who have crappy stats, simply because they die so often doing stupid stuff. Oh well. I'd love to see a in-game way of being able to view JOSSH p |
