Make Launching and Docking "Cooler"

I was thinking last night before I went to bed...I was thinking how much cooler it would be if there were a cut scene or hopefully ingame launching. If you've seen Battlestar, you know what I mean, that forward rush into space...

How cool would that be?

I just figured it might give the game a bit more excitement instead of just the fade from station to space and a very small launch tube. With the bigger stations now, a longer tube with a "faster" rush down the tube would be acceptable.

What do ya'll think?

You could hook a contraption to your chair that you wind up. Then when you launch you can pull the lever and it will jerk you back a few feet. All you need is big rubber bands. Or maybe that should be forward.

with the tubes being longer now ( as far as the screenshots show ) im sure launching will be much cooler than Jumpgate Classic. im not too sure about docking tho

What I mean is make an animation of you zooming into the cockpit (or something), the ship systems turning on, hud coming up, ship dropping into the launch tube, and then shooooooooooooooooooting out like in BSG.

I wont, i have seen it all.. I played Jumpgate Evolution in my dreams yesterday.. I was a bad pirate, and everyone feared me. And there were turrets but only baloons came out of them.

lol i dream Jumpgate everynight, im close to getting fired because of it ( and this dammmmmed forums! arrg ) cant stay away from them at work.

ooooh coming from ND themselves. cant wait to see whats in store for us. in the mean time ill watch BSG and imagine its evolution instead.
