So, if I'm a MT'd quant flying into ekoos I hear whatever quant music overlay there is for that and adjacent sectors but then if some detectable enemy then comes into range the tempo changes somewhat to make the scene moodier if you get my meaning, like musical adrenaline

and

I'd be grateful if these changes were implemented. We could still stick our custom music in the Jumpgate folder, but now we need increasing anxiety levels of classical music for danger1.mp3, danger3.mp3 and OMGDANGER.mp3.

Re: Music.

How about different varieties of music? From Classical music to current generation songs. Hell even have the old Jumpgate music in the new game.

Re: Music.

I absolutely loved the Solrain music from Jumpgate Classic(JumpGate Classic as they call it).

That was the reason why I would fly 75% of my missions in the majority of Solrain sectors. It is similar why a lot of people would listen to Classical Music; it gave me focus, clarity and serenity while flying through the depths of the endless expanse.

Shoot... I would even play it in the background while flying through other zones, Oct got to me a little bit though I did like Quant. Solrain still reigned supreme as my favorite score.

Though tossing it onto CD has made it even more enjoyable for anywhere I go. =)

I truely hope they do come up with another awesome score of music for this one, especially close in nature to the Solrain music, I just enjoy that way too much!

Re: Music.

I am really glad you all got the same guy to do the music. I loved all of the music in the game. It really gave you a feel for where you were and who you could run into. I can't wait to hear what he comes up with for Evolution!

Re: Music.

When I started Jumpgate for the first time I didnt heard a thing and always remember this oct guy named Cavalier that had a macro "Grooves to oct techno" that made me think what he was talking about but never asked, and turns out... I had downloaded the no-music version

In general I liked the music, but disliked my own faction's music.

For Jumpgate Evolution I would suggest a change, more like a radio in which you can change your factions music by other faction suggestions.

I once bought this game named "Bandits: Phoenix rising (or something like that)". It featured a way to change music styles, as if you were changing the channel... you could listen to rock, industrial, techno and other styles I never got to either like or understand, just with the press of a Fkey you would switch 'stations'.

It would be cool if we could have, say, 3 different sound themes for each faction, so that we can choose which one we like more, give variety. Another thing I would ask for.. and is not music, would be more like sound effects... is that some sound effects be added to the travelling.

And if I may, slightly OOT, big ships doing 180's for braking... we should hear structure stress sounds, we know it won't break, but it would add some feeling to our mundane hauling trips
