My new Greatest idea Ever.
I want the ability to set a sound effect to a person, and when that person shows up on radar, the sound plays.
Imagine the infinite possibilities and bow in my awesome idea-ness. |

Re: My new Greatest idea Ever.
Depending on the info available to the flashable UI, this feature could be added in later by some enterprising flash artist.

Re: My new Greatest idea Ever.
What would be even cooler would be an adaptive soundtrack.
For hauling heavy, it plays some trucker classics For mining it would play 30's era workin' man's music (think "16 tons") If you get jumped, it would switch to suspense/thriller type music If you attack someone, it switches into rock and roll The possibilities are endless. I wonder if someone will figure out how to integrate a JGRadio tuner onto the HUD? I want a hotkey to cut just the radio's volume to half so I can hear whatever else is going on in the game at that moment. Then another one to crank it back up. ![]() So many possibilities in a flashable UI. It will be really interesting to see what all the developers expose to the UI artists. Teeleton |

Re: My new Greatest idea Ever.
Teetleton, perhaps the sounds of screaming brakes and tires prior to a crash/splash as part of a collision alert?
Cue the thriller music for hostile approaches...pirates in sector, or known hostiles show up on radar...even a "Battle Stations" "Battle Stations" and a klaxton as the first weapon fire comes crashing in. I don't want the devs to waste any time on this idea net, but it IS interesting! |
