Its still possible there won't be anyone around, no matter the online numbers. I remember back in peak I would go looking for an escort or flux buddy for hours before I found someone. People just get busy some times.

Timesinks are the wave of the future as far as MMO gaming is concerned. They really don't even try to hide it anymore. I suspect we'll see quite a few of them in Jumpgate Evolution. Perhaps having to raid the conflux hive 7 times to get the "unstable biomass Mark III" needed to craft the "uber lasers of doom +8" and the like.

I'm not overly opposed to standard MMOs, but Jumpgate was better than that. It was a game you kept playing because it was fun to do so, not to get the phat loot.

That depends on the play style, there would be people taking power naps during the "cook times" when matter farming, only to get as much loot as possible.
