Question: Will we be able to have multiple characters?

Will we be able to have multiple characters on the same Shard?
If not, will we be able to create a character on each shard or will we be limited to 1 character 1 shard?

Right now in order for me to play OCT or Quant, I have to drop everything I have earned to defect to 1 of the other 2 factions or open another $10/month account.

1 character per account. There is enough second account issues and it would only get worse if they could do it for free.

You would if you wanted to pay for it. But then, no one knows the details of what's to come yet.

I don't believe ND has said anything about this, however, the majority here have stated they would prefer to not see people with the ability to have multiple characters on the same server at no extra cost.

I guess I am in the minority... . Limited # of characters (2 or 3) seems OK with me. As long as both can't be logged in at the same time..

That just doesn't work in this type of game. A walk around and do stuff game like WOW maybe, but not one where players can use it to do things they wouldn't want to be known for in their regular account. It's bad enough now when they pay. But that's only IMO.

I think 1 per shard should be enough. maybe 2, the problem being that a second character lends itself to being exploited by griefers

I think I'm with the rest on this. No extra characters for the same price. You want multiple accounts then you pay for multiple accounts. I am curious though as to the idea of using your single account on different shards. (I'll post this on the shard thread).

I started this same topic a month ago.

Basically, nothing has been confirmed yet and most people think one character is fine and helps with griefers. Plus, if people feel they want to grief then at least Net Devil is getting that extra account payment every month.
