Is re-equiping going to be revisited in Jumpgate Evolution?

Are there plans to revisit the re-equiping after a ship loss scenario in Jumpgate Evolution or will it continue as is in Jumpgate Classic.

From my own nag point, rather than clicking my mouse x amount of times after scrolling though the markets to buy gear and re-equip a new ship, I'd love for there be something different Jumpgate Evolution, something with far less clicking and shopping involved.

An optional tick box ships wish list - a list of equip specs based on what your prev ship had fitted that then get auto fitted to your ship when your pod takes you to a non pos station, if the listed items are available would be good I think.

I really dont mind running my shade across the landscape of wow to find my corpse in order to regen after a bucket kicking moment, In fact I quite like it in a eerie sort of way, but I do dislike sitting there going clickety click, click click click playing Jumpgate's shopping simulator - unfitting, selling, buying, and fitting bits when it happens.

Agreed, almost all games these days have a "favorites" list when buying is involved.

I'm sure they will be going through the buy system to make it easier for noobs with features like buy available faction gear, etc....

Speed re-equipping was an under-valued skill.

Speed equiping was severly hampered with nvidia cards and was the only reason I regeted replacing my ATI card so long ago

Aye, having to sell all of the noob gear was a pain, it would be nice to have a 'load up this gear' save feature and only install noob gear if the item in question was out at the station you podded to.

Re: Is re-equiping going to be revisited?

Put me down as in favor of the "favorite gear" scenario. Besides which "noob gear" is worthless and can't truely be "sold" just dumped off at a faction station (although I keep several of the noob radars for close range mining/mapping expeditions).

Yeah, a sell all noob gear button would rock.

Or by default have the ship empty and a load noob gear as one the default loadout button.

Re: Is re-equiping going to be revisited?

Although I didn't mind re-equipping all that much. I severely disliked the n00b gear "auto-appearance". If they just got rid of that bit then I would be a lot happier.

Depending on where you were /homed to, better noob gear than no gear.

Re: Is re-equiping going to be revisited?

LOL.... My evil side says bad luck if you're dumb enough to get yourself into that situation but you're right! There must always be an out. Which we already have IIRC. Wasn't there was a slash command implemented so that ppl who found themselves without gear could get the n00b gear or has that disappeared?

I was sure it worked no matter what but i could be wrong. I havent used it since its inception (and even then i was just testing if it worked as advertised).
