Dailatron, I don't think there has ever been anything you've said that has been constructive. It's probably a good thing you never come up with any suggestions or ideas yourself. It's certainly a safer strategy to snipe other peoples.

Seriously, having to take a mission to shoot people to make money, stooooopid.

And +1 for the beacons, yay I got 20xp and 100credits, im rich and leveling! ya right. The only reason I even flip them anymore is to piss off the other faction MT pilots.

Your a tool. Ha!

PR didn't always used to be a grind. It is now. When you got 3 PR per transport, you were able to work it off decently fast. Not like instant, but not taking you days either. When they nerfed it down to 1 PR per mission, it became a grind, extending the amount of time you have a bounty, extending the time you dont have insurance, and extending the time running from a bunch of civ basterds hiding behind a tag attacking you.

Not that I'm suggesting anything but killing 5 flux also gives a pilot 1pr for the faction in which they are killed. Killing flux if done with a buddy to spawn is thus quicker to improve pr than couriers, at the same time being excellent for aiming practise.

This is my favorite, bountied people crying about people shooting them when they can't defend themselves...when they generally got the bounty by shooting someone who couldn't defend himself.

Dailatron, I don't think this suggustion was entirely serious. Not every suggestion is meant as one to be implemented in game. Some are only made to foster discussion.

I've no objection to it being hard, or taking a long time, or being dangerous or expensive. I just don't think it should be dull.

IMO, the bounty system is there to increase the time between 'justified' Civ-rips. Rollio-esque style sprees are near impossible now.

How about this. Your a Sol squad, and an Oct squad does something bad enough for you to put the entire squad on a KOS list. Said squad has half of their pilots civ and running cargo for their POS.

As a military, you would kill all their fighters, and also want to disrupt their supply lines, therefor you would have to civrip all the haulers.

Now your entire squad is extremely negative PR, unable to keep up with the cost of death from the rest of the server trying to collect a 22million bounty on each one of your pilots, and there is no way to stay in oct space for 120 missions to get rid of the bounty.

See the problem with the built in game mechanics affecting your ability to RP?


Back when I flew as Gotcha I was at complete and total war with OSP because of Tykes actions against me. I killed every single OSP pilot I saw, and when I didn't see them outside Oct space, I would go looking for them. Hell one time I was sitting in f5 ct for a few hours not saying anything and I heard one of their fighters talking about being in Hyp picking up some very expensive gear. Me knowing this was my chance to really hurt them I roided on Emma until I saw him, came out, and blew his ass out of the sky. Granted at this point I was already bountied from hitting up their other civ ships, but that is a PERFECT example of why a civrip would occur. Back then the monetary value of my bounty was pretty much nothing to what it is now, and it didn't come out of my pocket. The only loss I took was the price of my ship and its equipment. Even with that smaller amount of money come out of my pocket every death, I blew through a huge sum of money in the 3 or 4 months I was at war with OSP. Not because OSP was killing me so much, more of the rest of the server trying to get my much smaller bounty.

You mean it works. Civs are finally protected by the artificial system designed to protect them. It's not ideal, but it beats a civ chip. Personally I'd prefer the haulers and miners could just fight back and not need artificial protection...but hey, I'm just a player not a dev.

How about this, you wanna play a loner that spends too much time sucking rad roids and has become anti-social, but every time you try some punk comes and shoot you down because you have no guns. See the problem with built in game mechanics affecting your ability to RP?

Allow me to paraphrase: I was an idiot and let someone make a fool with me, and because the game allowed it I picked on a bunch of people who were loosely associated with the offending individual.
