Life does have difficulty settings, but they're either chosen for you, or you don't remember making the choice.

Jumpgate Evolution will either have to change somewhere to let more people come in and have fun. And you are right Jumpgate Evolution will have to change to let more people understand the difficulty of the game, and give them SAFER areas to be in with plenty of stuff to do. But eventually EVERYONE will have to venture out to the unsafe areas.

Yes, I hope ND expands on the "dangerous vs safer" sectors, and makes them VERY obvious on the map, and when targeting the jumpgates, just like Unreg currently does.

But a safe switch, a tag system that is so complicated the most seasoned of players don't understand it, and penalties so harsh that it ends your game play when you don't follow the rules ARE NOT THE ANSWER.

At least thats my opinion

Oct - easy
Sol - medium
Quant - nightmare


Edit - if pvp'rs wanted equal then they would all want to share the same ship stats cross factionaly. They dont, they want to win.

Pfft, mining bonus ftw. The only thing Sols ever had going for them was the calming blue of their sectors...and maybe an extra FF...

You have to be kidding. The best profiles, the best speed, an extra FF slot...

All those things combined make for an uber ship when flown with a wingmate.

I will say the Nix, Dragon, and Nado were all great 1v1 ships, but put 2 together and you have nothing special, where as 2 tenses or vaders together = win.

To be fair the "new" nix is hardly a bad ship. It's pretty competitive, even though statistically it has issues against something like the Intruder.

But back in the day, heh.
