Station Stripping
If this is still a problem, here is an on how to fix it:
1) Any item produced at a station can be purchased in unlimited quantities 2) Any item not produced at a station shall be limited to 10 items per 15 minutes. This does two things: 1) Prevents mass stripping by slowing down the rate that items can be purchased from a non producing station 2) Prevents PvP pilots from launching, getting killed, and relaunching over and over. |

Re: Station Stripping
True. That and I imagine, 99% of everything is player-controlled. If a player wanted you to have something, it would be for sale. If it was something he didnt want you to touch, it wouldnt be for sale. In addition, Eve-Online doesnt have the factionalism that Jumpgate has. The factions in that game are actually the player guilds.

But to the matter at hand. I have 3 accounts what’s to stop me logging in all 3 every 15 minutes and taking 30 ? Or for a squad to dock and each member take their 10 ? And what’s to stop a pvp player having one of his 2nd accounts sitting in a tow full of kit? Ready to trade kit ( ok might not be as fast as some one buying off the market but you see the point ) |

Re: Station Stripping
Actualy, do you know why we didnt have this bad a problem on the EU server apart from a better econ system ?.
We had a POS market, which ment that most if not all the people that had POSes set to sell gear actualy made that gear. So it was always available usualy in station sectors. Thats why some here are scared of strippers, they just dont want to work to make their gear. |

Re: Station Stripping
Well.. not for nothing.. but wouldn't station stripping be the 'carebear' equivalent of civ ripping?
Not saying either is good or bad.. but both are mighty mighty unfortunate for the folks involved. |

Re: Station Stripping
This isn't a real war. The game stops being fun when one side can't fly because they've been stripped of a vital piece of equipment. It stops both sides from having fun because one side can't launch and the other has no one to shoot.

If the side that stripped the stations is not having fun because they don't have anything to shoot at, well then perhaps they should not strip the station. Jumpgate was never designed or intended to be quake in space. If you can't launch with the premium equipment you want then get a POS and stock it the way you like. You will never make everyone happy but if you start trying to make rules for every little issue that comes up, then you drive everyone away. Which is where the game was headed when I bailed. Then you got GM's stocking the stations, no need to actually produce anything, back to quake in space. |
