The Story Line?

I dont know if this question has been asked yet but Im wondering where the story line is going to go? One of the items that makes a game interesting to me is where the story within the game is taking me.

We have a story that bascially begins with a great collapse, 3 playable factons that are struggling to rebuild their societies, and the Conflux menace that has become part of our every day lives.

Im wondering what peoples ideas are on how we could roleplay the transition from Jumpgate to Jumpgate Evolution from a storyline perspective.

Personally, I would like to see some long unanswered questions answered like:

What exactly caused the Great Collapse?
What role if any has the Conflux had in the events leading up to it?

Im just not sure right now if pulling the plug on old Jumpgate, and throwing the switch on Jumpgate Evolution witout updating the storyline along with it makes sense to me.

And a good thought too Diver. I think its safe to assume that Jumpgate Evolution is in the future compared to our current Jumpgate, but almost nothing else. I wonder if some upcoming Jumpgate events might might have some influence on the "transition" story line? Could that work?

Hopefully, with a professional writer on staff, there will be more attention to both backstory and go-forward story arcs.

Just as long as legit player RP's get recognized and are viable, I could care less if they set the game in the prehistoric era and we all ride around on dinosaurs.

Although the thought of riding a dinosaur is interesting, in afraid it would probably turn around and eat me. I think I would prefer a hop skip and a jump toward the future myself..
