That has to take an extreme amount of luck, I mean how often are people carrying PoS

if I stole a POS module, I'd immediately arrange to give it back to the hauler. IMO, thats just too much.

Re: A twist on Pirating

Well, when I did it with Reece, prosthetics farming had replaced matter farming, and as I opposed farming I decided to do something about it by pirating the farmers. With a little help from Anguish and some modifications to jgrotscript, I was able to track changes in prosthetics stocks galaxy wide. When I noticed 700 were missing from QC, all I had to do was look at the prices at corridor and tripoint to see where the run was. Those were good times.

With Ramirez, I just got hella lucky. I was pirating in a ranger and I ran into a freighter in Dark Cross. I pulled 2 intimidators and was full. I ran them to EE and sold them, and headed back out. Found him again, and hit him again. By then I could tell he was going to OC, so I sold the second 2 there. Afterwards, I loaded up a tow and launched. He had jumpted into OC by then, and my burglar tow went after him. He started shooting at me then, and when you pirate in station sectors nowadays the droids launch after you. So the tow was getting beat up pretty good. I think I made it out of the sector with like 26% armor and a either 20-something of 40-something intimidators in my hold. It was a lot of money, but when I looked at the guys net worth he was in the billions iirc, so I didn't feel very bad about the small dent I made in his pocketbook.

Ofcourse, I never flew with guns. I was an insight-only kind of guy. It made the burglar pull faster and being unarmed and running from fighters is terribly exciting.

Well if it's a "pirate" shouldn't it bear a resemblance to the thing we call "pirate?" If you're RP is to steal stuff, then it's a thief, not a pirate.

YAAAAAR! PoD piracy forever!

Re: A twist on Pirating

Even so BuT pirates have no resemblence to real pirates unless they take your money AND rip you. So that'd be like Bribery until Termination.

Re: A twist on Pirating

Russian was a nifty fella.. he actually RP'd a pirate, rather than just blowing up other people because it helped him feel tough.

Politics mattered, where Russian was concerned. My kind of guy, pirate or not.
