@Milkman..... I meant to post this last night for you. =(

Today I give you back the market database from jgrot ... with realtime market informations.

What do you have to use the Market Databse?
Use the US Server in JGRot Pro and override the Name Resolution from your system with your hosts file.

You find your Hosts File in
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

    You have to add:
    54.247.117.129 jossh.com
    54.247.117.129 www.jossh.com

After Reboot (clearing your dns cache) you should be able to activate the market databse in jgrot pro again.

    Have Fun

    Daniel ( Serios )

That's strange since there is nothing at the JOSSH address.

I split this off to it's own thread to make it easier to find.

That I.P seems to be a Amazon IP.

Guessing either the games running off of Amazons server services, or someone is pulling the data from the server and hosting it on something running off of Amazons services... if the former, it means it's very easy for someone to insist the game server gets pulled down, if they decide they care enough. heh

Oh it's probably one of their Amazon AWS servers they were using. They probably just took the URL offline. Though going to the IP just gives a default nginx page.

Apparently, there is an issue with a missing myrotacol.dat file.

Maximiis kindly uploaded it for us: Dropbox - MyRotacol.dat

Yes, seeing how it resolves to a Amazon AWS server.

    Name: ec2-54-247-117-129.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com
    Address: 54.247.117.129

Still leery of putting any foreign IP into my hosts list.

Doesn't matter, I do not have the program yet anyways. Probably in my library but I got tired of going through it once I found my -=MACK=- HUD.

I don't see the point in running something in the client when the client already has issues enough.

So we can break it more? At least that is my goal in life, proving how much things fail!

    Couple of things.
    1. Editing hosts file:
ClickStart ->All Programs -> Accessories. Right-clickNotepad, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or clickAllow or Yes.
Open the Hosts file (from the notepad you just opened) , make your changes, and then click File ->Save.

    2. If you are not the admin of your computer, modify permissions of the JGRotPro directory in C:\Program Files (x86)
    Add full control to Users

P.S. Thanks Regs pointing me here, got it working

Also, if using Windows 64 bit, the MSVCR70.DLL and MSVCP70.DLL need to be copied into \windows\syswow64 directory no \windows\system32.

You don't have to reboot to flush your dns cache. You can open a command window and type: ipconfig /flushdns

One other thing to remember (I did not ... fortunately Nemz set me straight) is that if you run JG in a compatibility mode, you also have to run JGRot in the SAME compatibility mode.

I got stuck at step 1: Use the US server in JGRot Pro. I don't see an option to choose US or EU server. On the Setup tab, there's an option to use a proxy... is that what you're using?

Okay, a little more troubleshooting reveals the version of JGRotPro that you get from the installer in this site's resources downloads area is a version in which the option for US or EU server was removed. Apparently the instructions in the first post were for an older version of the program.

Yeah until the original author actually gives us an updated program everyone just uploads what they have. I don't use it myself.
