I really enjoyed it and ended up playing for 8 hours straight despite no sleep the night before due to travelling back from Christmas holidays. Some people are having compatibility problems, but I was straight in, luckily with the game working better than ever. Only one CTD over the whole day.
I'm downloading it now...we'll see if I have any troubles everyone else is having. I don't have a joystick anymore... my Cyborg Gold died long ago... I wonder if I'll remember how to play. The last time I played I was in middle school and now I'm TEACHING middle school I just made y'all feel old
Ambro! My gods, it's been years! Nemz told me to poke the forum and link the other day, but I don't believe I even own a joystick anymore... hmm.
Make sure you guys check in here so I can add your name. Then when your friends come by they can see that you know about it and are playing.
I'm am ecstatic to be back! My wife was rolling her eyes at me with how giddy I was when I learned it was for real. As far as the total reset/horrible economy - as a guy who has always loved mining, it should come as no surprise that I'm loving that miners like me are now desperately-needed. Will I be grateful once we get enough equipment in stock to resume some meaningful PvP fights, yes - but in the mean time, it's nice to be part of a re-reconstruction.
Huh. Figures something like this would come online 3 days post shoulder surgery. Joystick usage is not likely at this point, lol. Although, I can always try out mouse motion. And I got plenty of free time on my hands this week..
I started playing Saturday and have been averaging 3 hours a day. My wife used to think I spent too much time on Jumpgate, but now she thinks its cute when I exclaim; "Hey, there's Regan and Tritian and Ambrosius and McPlowed!" I think everyone starting from scratch, with no farming billionaires (sorry McPlowed) is refreshing and challenging. Though its weird that there are no GM's. The economy is in our hands. I guess its a democracy now.
